- Provides leadership and direction to the Unit. Takes a given business/functional strategy and translates this into clear a set of objectives, guidelines and programs for own area.
- Identifies potential internal/external client needs, develops programs and promotes IDB activities that meet client requirements.
- Develops annual business plans to achieve identified business objectives and makes recommendations on resource and budgetary requirements.
- Coordinates Unit activities to resolve business issues and meet business objectives.
- Establishes goals, business direction and expectations for the Unit in alignment with the Department’s strategy.
- Acts as a technical point of contact for the Unit and its internal and external clients.
- Monitors results and reallocates or reorganizes resources to improve performance.
- Leads, manages, mentors and assesses the Unit’s staff and provides feedback and technical guidance to optimize performance.
- Ensures that workplace practices and behaviors comply with IDB’s policies related to ethics and respect in the workplace.
