We improve lives
The IDB Group is a community of diverse, versatile, and passionate people who come together on a journey to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our people find purpose and do what they love in an inclusive, collaborative, agile, and rewarding environment.
About this position
We are looking for a professional with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to coordinate and facilitate learning solutions that achieve measurable results and align with institutional strategic objectives.
You will join the Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development (INDES) at the Knowledge and Learning Division. For over 30 years, INDES has delivered learning solutions to strengthen the capacities of development actors in Latin America and the Caribbean, including IDB staff, aiming to transform institutions and their environments.
INDES, through IDBAcademy, offers tailored, practical learning solutions for external audiences, built on the knowledge, experience, and continuous learning of the IDB Group. These solutions help implement the priorities of the IDB and its member countries, improving the quality and impact of development initiatives across the Region.
To achieve these goals, INDES relies on a multidisciplinary team recognized for reliability, quality, and commitment, as well as a network of strategic partnerships that extend its reach.
What you’ll do
In collaboration with the Learning Specialist, you will provide support in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions, ensuring their alignment with strategic objectives, INDES quality standards, and audience needs. This includes:
- Develop learning solution proposals, budgets, and presentations—both for internal use and for relevant stakeholders—in the various formats required for each project. Develop and monitor the execution plan for learning projects. Facilitate—in collaboration with project teams and other stakeholders—the achievement of objectives, alignment, timely execution, adherence to quality standards, and effective communication among stakeholders.
- Participate in the design of learning objectives, modular structures, activities, and assessment strategies. Support the production of learning resources—such as videos, readings, case studies, and guides—as well as assessment instruments, such as tests and rubrics. Ensure the quality and consistency of course resources, as well as compliance with quality and accessibility standards.
- Organize online, in-person, and hybrid workshops, ensuring that materials are prepared for effective delivery. Facilitate workshops, events, and other learning sessions—whether in-person, remote, or hybrid—that are engaging and interactive.
- Support reporting, data analysis, and KPI tracking for each learning solution, sharing and consolidating information from relevant partners for each solution.
- Document lessons learned and share insights with the management team, recommending improvements.
- Perform—in consultation with the specialist—other activities required to ensure the success of the learning solution.
This consultancy may entail travel to the IDB Headquarters in Washington, D.C., as well as to countries within the region, as deemed necessary. All travel expenses shall require prior written approval from the Bank and will be processed through contractual amendments. Travel arrangements must comply with the Bank's current policies.
