About this position
We are looking for an analytical, organized, and collaborative individual for the role of Strategic Resource Management Consultant. In this role, you will support the implementation of IT strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives through OKRs and KPIs. Responsibilities include financial and resource planning, IT cost optimization, development of sourcing and talent strategies, and promotion of operational excellence.
You will work in the Strategic Resource Management Team (SRMT), part of the Technology and Transformation Department (TTD). This team is responsible for Resource Management, Capacity Planning, Financial Planning, and the implementation of key strategies such as Make-Buy and Sourcing, as well as Operational Excellence and Reporting.
What you’ll do
- Assist in monitoring the implementation of OKRs by product, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Support the development and allocation of the Capital Investment budget.
- Monitor the utilization of financial resources to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and track the value of investments.
- Aid in the unification of administrative and capital budgets for holistic management and visibility.
- Assist in the implementation of the Make-Buy strategy to identify key capabilities necessary for executing the IT strategy.
- Support the development of a sourcing strategy to acquire, develop, and retain the technological talent needed for digital business strategies.
- Assist in operational efficiency initiatives within the area.
What you'll need
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Computer Science, Technology Management, Business Administration, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
• Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in analytical and critical thinking, financial or cost management, leadership, effective communication, cost optimization, support strategy development, and technological competencies
• Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

• Citizenship:You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries eligible to obtain a valid residency or legal permit to work in one of our 48-member countries eligible without the need for sponsorship by the IDB.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
• Local Remote Modality: The selected candidate will not provide services from the Bank’s office and will not be provided a physical space on the premises of the Bank’s Country Office. The candidate selected will be responsible for setting up the space, and for having the equipment, internet, and phone accesses to accomplish these TORs, outside the Bank’s office. Access to the Bank’s systems will be arranged in coordination with the Bank.
Type of contract and duration
• Consultant: National Consultant (Local Remote Modality), 12 months (up to 36 months).
