About this position

We are looking for a vibrant, collaborative and experienced Portfolio Monitoring and Data Analytics Consultant. As the Portfolio Monitoring and Data Analytics Consultant, you will employ data analytics skill to support the monitoring of portfolio implementation especially through reporting and visualizations. The candidate will also be required to uncover long-term trends in the portfolio with a view to supporting continous improvements in the portfolio.  

You will work in the Operation team part of CCB/CBA department. This team is responsible for supporting the design, execution and supervision of projects in Barbados. The Operations team provides comprehensive support to Project Team Leaders throughout the life cycle of projects, form the Poroposal for Operational Development to the Project Closing

What you’ll do

1. Collect, process and analyze operational data to provide insights to the Chief of Operations on the performance of the portfolio; prepare briefings, talking points, PowerPoint presentations and other material for internal and external dissemination.

2. Prepare monthly portfolio monitoring reports using Tableau and Microsoft PowerBI: Barbados Monthly Operations Report (BMORE), Key Performance Indicators Report, Project Summary Reports, among others.

3. Contribute to the preparation of the annual portfolio and programming documents: Country Programming Document (CPD); Recommendations Tracking System review; and Portfolio Review Report.

4. Assist in the preparation, execution, and monitoring of execution support budgets with a particular focus upon guaranteeing the efficient use of the resources for improving portfolio execution performance.

5. Support the Chief of Operations to plan and conduct internal Operations Meetings as well as Portfolio Coordination Meetings with the GoB and CDB counterparts. This includes preparing the agenda, taking notes, preparing minutes and actively contributing on cross-cutting issues.

6. Assist the Chief of Operations in any other duties deemed necessary or that may arise in carrying out the Country Office operations work program.

 

What you'll need

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or similar. 

•    Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience or equivalent in a similar position. Previous experience in an International Organizations is a plus 

•    Languages:  Proficiency in English

•    Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. Must be eligible to work in job location(s) without the need for sponsorship.

•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab. 
 

Type of contract and duration

•  Type of contract: National Consultant Full-Time 

•  Length of contract: 12 months. 

•  Work Location: On site.
