We improve lives

The IDB Group is a community of diverse, versatile, and passionate people who come together on a journey to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our people find purpose and do what they love in an inclusive, collaborative, agile, and rewarding environment.

About this position

IDB Invest, a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, is a multilateral organization, committed to the development of the private sector of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) by financing loans, equity investments, and guarantees. Beyond financing, IDB Invest actively collaborates with clients, offering advisory services to enhance their strategic and operational capabilities and promote sustainable business practices.

The Manufacturing and Consumer Product Retail Distribution (CPRD) sectors in LAC face increasing pressures to adopt advanced Industry 4.0 technologies. These technologies include, among others, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), robotics, and automation, essential to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Leveraging these innovative digital solutions, including advanced analytics, additive manufacturing, and smart automation, offer transformative opportunities for corporate companies to optimize operations, build agile digital supply chains, and create new digital services and business models.

Despite these potential advantages, many private-sector organizations struggle with executing effective Digital Transformation programs, while strategic planning is essential, organizational culture alignment is equally important. Our market research studies confirm that a weak or misaligned digital culture often represents a major barrier to successfully achieving Digital Transformation goals. Therefore, successful transformation requires appropriate technologies, robust strategies, skilled talent, and the adoption of a supportive organizational culture.
Recognizing these challenges, IDB Invest’s Digital and Technological Transformation team seeks an experienced Products and External Services Consultant (PEC) to provide specialized advisory services, supporting private-sector clients across LAC in effectively navigating their unique Digital Business Journeys.
