About this position
We are looking for a team player, inclusive, innovative, problem-solver, client-oriented, results-driven, with strong communication skills Consultant to support and assist the Pension Officers and Front Office on daily tasks regarding the active and retired participants of the Plans.
The Staff Retirement Plans (SRP) department is responsible for administering the Pension Plans, overseeing the payment of benefits under the Plans, managing the investment of assets, financial planning, carrying out the day-to-day administration of the Plans, and performing other functions outlined in the Plans’ regulations and/or delegated by the Managing Committees.
What you’ll do
- Careful and confidential customer service to active and retired participants that include the management of the SRP main inbox, main phone line, assignation of cases to Pension Officers, and creation and follow-up of tickets in Snow.
- Focal point for processing and managing participants’ requests for change of bank account, the set-up of accounts for new retirees, and off-cycle payment.
- Registration in SAP of changes in the information of retirees as well as the certificate of eligibility for pension.
- Provide support to retirees to enroll and to use the Retiree Self Services (RSS) and generate progress reports.
- Collaboration with Pension Officers in the preparation of letters and memorandums needed in the retirement process and as requested by the participants, Retirement Planning Seminars, Certificate of Eligibility for Pension exercise, SRP Governance Elections, among others.
- Assistance with electronic and paper filing of confidential participant information and other documentation.
- Other tasks as requested by the Executive Secretary and the Head of Pension Administration.
What you'll need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in public/business administration, social science, information technology, or related fields. Master’s degree or working towards a master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the areas of service delivery and customer service.
- Languages: Proficiency in oral and written English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of another Bank official language is desirable. Ability to write and review written communications at a high proficiency level.

- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Length of contract: 24 months, with a possibility of a 12-month extension
