About this position
The IDB INVEST, a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, is a multilateral organization based in Washington, D.C., that is committed to the development of Latin America and the Caribbean through the private sector.
IDB Invest is seeking a dedicated, collaborative, and forward-thinking Information Technology and Analytics (ITA) Officer / Senior Officer to deliver reliable IT services and contribute to the execution of strategic digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will support daily IT operations, participate in key technology projects, and help modernize the organization’s digital ecosystem. Your work will support the technology strategy and execution across front, middle, and back-office operations, leveraging expertise in cloud ecosystems such as Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, and low-code/no-code platforms.
You will work in the Technology Team, part of the Information Technology and Analytics Department (ITA). This team is responsible for managing day-to-day IT services, ensuring operational continuity, and leading the implementation of IDB Invest’s Digital Transformation, aligned with institutional priorities and the broader technology roadmap.
The Information Technology and Analytics (ITA) Officer / Senior Officer will report to the Information Principal Officer.
What you’ll do
- Support the adoption and integration of low-code, asset-light, and commercial off-the-shelf solutions, helping the organization scale technology delivery efficiently, securely, and in compliance with performance standards.
- Collaborating with enterprise architects and technical leads to design and implementing scalable, integrated solutions that align with enterprise architecture, data governance principles, and institutional standards.
- Design and review architecture diagrams, system flows, and integration models; guide the implementation of integration solutions using APIs and middleware to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient data exchange.
- Contribute to the definition and enforcement of development best practices, coding standards, and technical governance across platforms and teams, supporting the implementation of high-quality solutions.
- Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment, clear communication, and successful delivery of technical solutions across front, middle, and back-office functions, including legal, risk, and impact areas.
- Coordinate and monitor daily IT operations and vendor support teams, ensuring incidents, enhancements, and service requests are prioritized, resolved effectively, and aligned with service expectations.
- Lead or contribute to the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that project objectives, timelines, and scope align with business needs and technology goals.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical and functional documentation, including business requirements, system specifications, process maps, training materials, and internal control documentation.
- Conduct technical reviews, contribute to solution validation, and ensure alignment with the organization's technology roadmap, future scalability needs, and broader digital transformation strategy.
What you'll need
Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. In lieu of a Master's Degree a Bachelor's Degree and the below certifications may be considered:
- Cloud Architecture Certification, such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
- IT Service Management & Governance: Scrum, Safe, ITIL v4, COBIT 2019
- Integration & Development, such as MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (for CRM-related scope), TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture)
- Project/Change Management: PMP, Prosci Change Management
Experience: At least 4 years of progressive experience for the Officer and 5 years of progressive experience in IT operations, cloud-based systems implementation (SaaS, PaaS), business analysis, or digital transformation. Hands-on experience in supporting IT services, integrations, and digital platforms is required. 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading or managing complex IT projects or corporate digital transformation initiatives, preferably in the banking or financial services sector. Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams, coordinate vendors, and deliver large-scale digital solutions is highly desirable.
Technical Capabilities:
- Experience should include working across business and technical teams, with exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Salesforce), low-code/no-code tools, and enterprise system integration (APIs). Hands-on involvement in project delivery, process mapping, vendor coordination, and IT service management are essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with process analysis and workflows. Familiarity with business process modeling tools and techniques.
- Excellent management of database administration.
- Proven ability to work both independently and in a dynamic team environment.
Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required

Type of contract and duration
International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
