About this position

We want to incorporate to our team a IT Business Analyst with a focus on client needs, experience in technology and user experience, and strong skills in data analysis. As a IT Business Analyst, you will assist in identifying and enhancing the employee experience in the digital workplace, collaborate with users and technical teams to explore opportunities, and implement solutions that improve the overall use of tools and devices across the organization. A seamless digital workspace experience is a cornerstone for fostering deeper employee engagement through innovation and collaboration. By providing intuitive, interconnected, and user-friendly digital tools, we aim not only to streamline daily workflows and generate efficiencies, but also empower individuals to collaborate, innovate, and contribute meaningfully. This translates into boosting productivity, improving employee satisfaction and engagement across teams.

You will work in the Digital Workplace team in TDS (Technology and Data Solutions), part of the TTD department (Technology and Transformation Department). TTD is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of digital tools and platforms, supports organizational transformation initiatives, and promotes best practices in technology management to strengthen the Bank's operational effectiveness. TTD committed to delivering greater impact has undertaken new initiatives focused on enhancing the employee experience within the Digital Workplace Product.

 

What you’ll do

  • Work with technology and design teams to create solutions that address employee needs and technical challenges

  • Collaborate across departments to identify and prioritize scenarios that improve digital asset usage

  • Convert client requirements into actionable epics and user stories for development

  • Assess new technologies and conduct pilot programs to test and validate use cases

  • Maintain expertise in collaboration and productivity tools and apply them effectively

  • Analyze user workflows to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and change management

  • Gather and interpret data from multiple sources to support decisions and measure impact

  • Use artificial intelligence tools to enhance daily operations and data analysis

  • Communicate project progress through reports, presentations, and training sessions

  • Coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure project alignment.

What you'll need

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in information systems, Business Analysis, Digital Transformation, User Experience, or a related field.  
  • Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in professional experience in Business Analysis. Data analytics and familiarity with business intelligence tools are highly desired.  
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. 
  • Additional Education/Experience: Knowledge of AI and generative AI technologies as they relate to Business Analyst tasks, and their possible use in a workplace environment.  Familiarity with ethical considerations and the responsible application of AI.

Requirements

•    Citizenship: you are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.

•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

International consultant Full-Time, 12 months. The contract can be renewed for up to 36 months based on performance and business needs.
