About this position
We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Marketing and Business Communications Sr. Associate to join the Business, Planning & Resources team (BPR).The BPR team facilitates business strategy, oversees the planning and execution of transversal projects and initiatives, and manages core enablers for the operational model. In addition, BPR is also responsible for managing several key initiatives to add value to the business, related to market understanding, client strategy, marketing products/content marketing & business communications, business metrics management, marketing campaigns and monitoring and exploiting tools that support our client acquisition and engagement efforts (CRM, Client Portal, Email Marketing, BI tools, etc…).In this position, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our business visibility and market presence. Your holistic mission will be to foster impactful relationships with specific business sectors and countries/regions teams, serving as their primary liaison to identify marketing needs and formulate comprehensive strategic marketing plans annually. You will drive initiatives to reinforce our business positioning across diverse market segments and collaborate closely with business-facing and cross-functional teams within the institution.
What you’ll do
With a keen strategic vision, you will serve as the key connector between IDB Invest and targeted business sectors, facilitating the identification and fulfillment of their unique marketing requirements. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing strategic marketing plans tailored to support business strategies and cultivate new business opportunities.
Additionally, you will oversee the planning and execution of business events, manage client databases through Salesforce, and continuously enhance marketing materials that showcase our expertise and track record. Your efforts will be pivotal in elevating market awareness and enhancing our value proposition through targeted content development and impactful market campaigns aligned with IDB Invest's strategic priorities and market trends.
Business understanding
• Understanding the sectorial business topics and trends across the different agendas with a special focus in our projects supported.
• Projects monitoring through indicators for the specific teams supported.
• Understanding our value proposition (financial solutions, advisory services…)
Planning and reporting
• Define and implement the Marketing plan to support the business strategy to generate more business opportunities.
• Keep an updated content and Marketing activities calendar for the specific teams supported.
• Perform follow up activities ensuring the content creation and activities calendar planned execution.
Relationship marketing
• Support industries & regional teams.
• Keeping updated and fed clients databases in our CRM, Salesforce
• Develop and execute all the business events (Own & Third-party events)
• Develop and maintain relevant Marketing/sales materials for clients such as factsheets, pitchbooks, project information, etc.
• Periodically update and improve materials that showcase business expertise and track record.
• Actively seek to improve market appreciation and awareness through relevant awards recognizing IDB Invest operational capabilities.
Content & outreach marketing
• Develop and launch business contents to highlight our business positioning according to our marketing plan.
• Identify content and marketing campaigns accordingly to showcase remarkable initiatives for business industries.
• Support the business and technical teams in the process of developing specialized reports and knowledge to leverage business development activities.
• Coordinate external agencies and freelances to generate content and Marketing products.
Market Campaigns
• Provide support in the coordination and preparation of relevant campaigns with clients & partners in alignment with IDB Invest Business Strategy about our main themes and market trends.
• Execute the different market campaigns and/or information requests in coordination with the teams supported.
What you'll need
• Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, International Relationships, among others.
• Experience: At least 5 years of total experience in B2B marketing areas (business position, business events & sponsorships, content creation, marketing campaigns, etc.)
• Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required.
Requirements
• Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Paraguay or Uruguay or with residency or legal permit to work in one of these countries.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
National staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
