About this position
The Staff Retirement Plan Department (SRP) within the Vice President of Finance and Administration is looking for a highly motivated, detail and team-oriented Resource Planning and Administration Associate / Senior Associate. In this role, you will be overseeing and performing a wide range of general administrative functions, mainly in the areas of Human Resource management, Budget, Procurement, and Training and Travel. In addition, this role supports the Governance Committees of the Retirement Plans.
SRP oversees the IDB Group Retirement and Post Retirement Plans, including pension benefits payment, asset investment management, day-to-day Plans administration, and other responsibilities set out in the Plans’ regulations or delegated by the Managing or Pension Committees. You will report directly to the SRP Executive Secretary.
What you’ll do
As a Resource Planning and Administration Associate / Senior Associate, your responsibilities are as follows:
- Coordinate Human Resources (HR) activities: Work closely with HR Business Partners to manage the Department’s activities, such as recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, contract renewals, performance management, learning and recognition programs, engagement, and other related activities, ensuring timely compliance.
- Oversee travel and training plans: Manage the execution of the annual travel and training plans, coordinate logistics for group trainings, ensuring budget compliance.
- Oversee budget and payment processes: Coordinate and monitor the budget formulation, approval and monitoring to anticipate and communicate deviations in a timely manner. Ensure that payments are within the established standards, along with overseeing critical month-end and year-end budget closing activities.
- Other tasks: Review of retiree life insurance payments and benefit letters, prepare presentations and dashboards, and assist in the preparation of the Staff and Local Retirement Plans Annual reports.
- Support Plans’ Governance Committees: Coordinate meetings, rosters, materials review, documents publications, regulations update, and other related support for the Plans’ Governance Committees and the Board of Directors.
What you'll need
Education: Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources or other related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus.

Type of contract and duration
• Staff: International: International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
