About this position

We are looking for a client-focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented Human Resources Onboarding Consultant. As a Human Resources Onboarding Consultant, you will support new employees become familiar with our unique culture and provide the knowledge and resources necessary to reduce the time required to reach maximum productivity.

The selected consultant will ensure that new employees have a positive first impression of the organization, helping them navigate the institution and better understand who we are, how we work, and what to expect.

You will work in the Talent Management Division, part of the Human Resources Department. This team is responsible for fostering a results-oriented and mission-driven organization with a culture where everyone brings their best and authentic selves to work, willing to try new approaches.

 

What you’ll do

  • Leverage technology to provide support for new employees from contract signature until they are fully onboarded
  • Support process improvement documentation for on-boarding and off-boarding procedures
  • Serve as the point of contact for inquiries and requests from new employees. 
  • Maintain an open and constructive dialogue with new employees. Coordinate new hire’s requests and questions with relevant SMEs.
  • Conduct check-ins with new employees to address their questions on topics such as health insurance, housing, relocation, transportation, and visa procedures.
  • Continuously improving the onboarding experience by identifying and addressing the pain points of new employees 
  • Monitoring and reporting if metrics related the new employee experience.

What you'll need

•    Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.

•    Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in human resources or related fields, ideally supporting onboarding programs.

•    Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
 

Requirements

•    Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. Must be eligible to work in job location(s) without the need for sponsorship.

•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
 

Type of contract and duration


National Consultant (Local Remote Modality), 12 months (up to 36 months).
