About this position

We are looking for a client-focused, data-driven, and solutions-oriented Human Resources Consultant. As a Recruiter on the Talent Acquisition team, you execute the talent acquisition process for Consultants joining the IDB Group.  On this cross-border team, you will help attract, engage, and hire top talent across the institution. You’ll partner with hiring managers, manage full-cycle recruitment processes for consultants, and contribute to improving the candidate experience while hiring efficiency.

You will be joining the Talent Acquisition team, a fast-paced team within the Talent Management Division of the Human Resources Department. Working with us, you will be surrounded by a group of hard-working people whose purpose and drive is to attract, source and recruit diverse and highly qualified candidates for IDB. You will report to the head of Talent Acquisition, and be aligned to Corporate, Operations or IDB Invest hiring.

What you’ll do

Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process from job posting to offer acceptance, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.

Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships with clients to better understand their evolving needs, enabling proactive talent identification and more tailored candidate sourcing.

Collaborate with the sourcing team to attract and engage qualified candidates, actively marketing the position and serving as the liaison between the sourcing team and the client.

Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial HR screenings, initiate online candidate assessments, coordinate interviews with the interview panel, evaluating candidates’ qualifications and fit for the institution.

Candidate Management: Maintain clear and consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely status updates.

Compliance: Ensure all recruitment practices comply with institutional guidelines and policies; review peer processes to ensure compliance amongst the Consultant recruiting team.

Represent the IDB online and in person at job fairs, conferences, and networking events, in coordination with the Country Office to promote employer branding and attract top talent.

Leverage recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire) to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhance overall recruitment efficiency.

What you'll need

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Human Resources or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.

Experience: At least two years of progressive experience in Human Resources, preference for candidates with experience working in financial services and/or international organizations.

Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. Must be eligible to work in job location(s) without the need for sponsorship.   

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

National Consultant (Local Remote Modality), 19 months (up to 48 months).
