About this position
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is enhancing its use of Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to improve strategic communications, relationship tracking, and outreach effectiveness across its departments.
To ensure the Bank is maximizing the potential of Salesforce CRM as a key tool for external engagement, a dedicated consultant is required to provide coordination, strategic support, and guidance to align its use across departments, countries and sectors.
The consultant will help bridge the technical team with user adoption by leveraging communication and marketing strategies, with a strong understanding of the needs and structures of multilateral institutions.
The team’s mission: The Communications Division, reporting to the External Affairs and Communications Department, is responsible for the design and implementation of IDB’s strategic communications’ plans, offering advice, expertise, and tools for dissemination and communication planning and execution, to position IDB’s brand, work, and development opportunities in the Latin American and Caribbean Region with internal and external partners. In addition, it provides guidelines and advisory support on the standards of use of the corporate brand, internal communication activities, the external feedback system, and manages all communication channels including digital platforms, editorial content, and relations with the media, as well as the IDB community relations program
What you’ll do
- Working under the Communications Division (DCC), you will need to coordinate Customer Relationship Management (CRM)-related initiatives across Bank units, acting as a liaison between the Technology and Transformation Department (TTD), communications, and operational teams.
- Identify and map key stakeholders and user groups within the Bank who should adopt and use the CRM.
- Develop user guidelines and protocols to ensure consistent data entry, usage, and reporting.
- Lead the load and quality of contacts information for the Presidential and External Affairs teams.
- Coordinate the creation of campaigns, reports, and connection to Salesforce Marketing Cloud for event management.
- Regularly assess the functionality, user satisfaction, and potential areas for improvement of the CRM.
- Collaborate with the TTD department to ensure alignment with broader digital transformation initiatives.
- Draft reports and recommendations for senior management on CRM usage, impact, and future opportunities.
Key skills
What you'll need
- Education: Master’s degree in marketing, engineering, communications, or related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in strategic communications, CRM systems, marketing operations or strategic communications.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish.
Requirements
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
- Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
- Length of contract: 12 months.
