About this position

We are looking for a results- and team-oriented Data and Analytics Specialist to join our Workforce Intelligence Team (WFI) in the Human Resources Department (HRD). The WFI is responsible for designing, leading, and executing the end-to-end analyses in areas related to Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and Compensation and Benefits. You will oversee all matters of data quality management and analysis of the IDB’s personnel data and support the implementation of digital solutions, technology and artificial intelligence. Your primary focus will be applying data mining techniques, doing analyses, statistical modeling, and building high-quality reports and presentations aligned with HRD’s strategic functions. You will be supporting data governance and data quality processes to facilitate the development and implementation of data quality best practices and data protection standards in HRD. You will also ensure adherence to data policies, procedures, and guidelines to achieve the required level of quality and protection of critical data and information handled by HRD.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee the collection, integration, transformation, and management of HR data from SAP, SuccessFactors, Power BI, and other enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity, quality, security, and readiness for advanced analytics and AI applications.
  • Advise on HR technology and analytics solutions, leveraging SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Power BI, and emerging AI technologies to modernize HR processes, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and oversee the development of enterprise HR dashboards, analytics products, and reporting solutions using Power BI and SuccessFactors, translating complex workforce data into actionable insights for HR leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of talent acquisition analytics, including time-to-hire, source of hire, quality of hire, recruitment funnel effectiveness, and workforce supply metrics. Oversee SuccessFactors functionality, reporting, roles, permissions, and security.
  • Lead the development of workforce and talent analytics related to performance, talent management, succession, career development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness, identifying trends and insights to inform strategic workforce decisions.
  • Drive the adoption of AI and advanced analytics across HR, identifying opportunities to use AI, automation, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled tools to augment HR decision-making, improve employee and manager experiences, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on SAP and SuccessFactors, overseeing integrations, system enhancements, reporting capabilities, data flows, security, and the evolution of the HR technology ecosystem in alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving HR, Technology, Budget, and other business areas, including workforce planning, budget and resource analytics, organizational projections, and integrated reporting to support enterprise-level planning and decision making.
  • Develop and oversee workforce intelligence solutions that integrate HR, financial, organizational, and operational data to provide a comprehensive view of workforce trends, resource allocation, budget execution, and future workforce needs.
  • Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, privacy, security, and access management practices across HR technology and analytics environments, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and appropriate protection of sensitive personnel information.
  • Oversee requirements definition, solution design, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR technology, analytics, and AI solutions, ensuring they are scalable, user-centered, secure, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Stay current on emerging HR technology, AI, analytics, and SAP/SuccessFactors capabilities, evaluating new solutions and recommending innovations that can strengthen the organization's workforce intelligence and digital HR strategy.

What you'll need

  • Education: Master's Degree (or Bachelor's degree plus additional years of experience and/or professional certifications).
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience in data analytics, preferably in HR analytics. Familiarity with SAP HCM, Success Factors, Power BI, or Stata is a plus. ANSI SQL is required.
  • Languages:   Fluency in English required; knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese and/or French is a plus.

Type of contract and duration

International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
