About this position
We are looking for a collaborative, skilled, and analytical Data Science Consultant. In this role, you will support the design and automation of data pipelines, the development of dashboards and analytical tools, cross-departmental collaboration analytics, and strategic reporting for ConnectAmericas, BID for the Americas, and related PTI/PST initiatives.
You will work in the Private Sector, Synergies, and Trade (PST) Unit, which is part of the Productivity, Trade, and Innovation (PTI) Sector. This team is responsible for leading initiatives to improve the business climate, strengthen private sector participation in the PTI agenda, promote trade integration, and coordinate strategic synergies across the IDB Group.
What you’ll do
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Automate data ingestion and pipeline processes.
- Apply AI tools for data quality, monitoring, and scalability.
- Design cross‑departmental data systems to capture collaboration.
- Use AI‑assisted network analysis to identify interaction patterns.
- Develop dashboards to measure collaboration and synergies.
- Test and adopt new AI, data, and visualization tools.
- Evaluate external data sources, CRMs, and providers.
- Build dashboards, perform analysis, and deliver insights.
- Support stakeholders, optimize workflows, document methods, and assist PTI/PST operations.
What you'll need
Education: Bachelor degree (or equivalent advanced degree)in computer science, data science or related fields, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in data analytics, reporting and dashboards.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Type of contract and duration
International consultant Full-Time, 12 months (up to 48 months, subject to eligibility).
