About this position

We are looking for a Human Resources Consultant to join the Talent Management team at the IDB Group. In this role, you will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of talent management initiatives that address current and future workforce needs. These initiatives span early career programs, talent mobility, career development, and internal staff exchanges, all aligned with our mission-driven business model.

You will be part of the Talent Management Division within the Human Resources Department (HRD), which is responsible for managing and developing the IDB Group's human capital. This includes overseeing the employee lifecycle, supporting the implementation of the People Strategy, and contributing to programs and initiatives that support the IDB’s overall goals. HRD is committed to delivering human-centered experiences while partnering with professionals dedicated to improving lives in Latin America and the Caribbean.

What you’ll do

  • Support Talent Program Initiatives: Assist in the development and execution of various talent management initiatives, such as internships, secondments, early career programs, internal mobility, and career development frameworks. Ensure these initiatives align with the Talent+ strategy and evolving business needs.
  • Career Development & Talent Mobility: Contribute to the design and delivery of career development tools, resources, and pathways that support employee growth and internal mobility across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR Partners: Work closely with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to translate business objectives into effective talent strategies and solutions.
  • Market Benchmarking & Strategy Development: Research industry best practices in talent management and provide actionable recommendations. Develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent, with a strong focus on DEI.
  • Talent Coaching & Support: Provide guidance and support to employees—particularly early career professionals and IDB interns.
  • Leadership Partnership & Communication: Partner with leadership to ensure clear, timely communication of talent initiatives and deliverables across the organization, as well as external marketing strategy of IDB programs.
  • KPI Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Analyze key performance indicators to assess program effectiveness and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare reports, presentations, and communications to engage stakeholders and support change management efforts.
  • Support HRIS Development: Assist in enhancing HRIS platforms to support talent management functionalities, including internal mobility and passive candidate pipelines.

What you'll need

  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent advanced degree in Human Resources Management, I/O Psychology, Business Administration, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in an HR function, preferably in an international setting. Experience with University Recruiting, Early Career Program Management, Talent Mobility programs or other HR related programs. (Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and 9 years of relevant experience may also be considered). 
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of being a collaborative team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to quickly establish and maintain trust and credibility with all stakeholders, as well as navigate complex scenarios.
  • Data driven with ability to bring innovative ideas to meet client’s needs.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, spoken and written, is required. Proficiency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese is highly desired.

Type of contract and duration

  • Consultant: International consultant Full-Time, 12 months.
