About this position
We are looking for an energetic, analytical, and detail-driven consultant to join the Administration & SLA Management team. Under the guidance of the Lead Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the operational implementation and continuous strengthening of IDB Invest’s SLA framework, with a particular focus on SLA performance management, metrics design, service delivery coordination, process improvement initiatives, and supporting the continuous enhancement of corporate services execution.
The consultant will contribute to the strengthening of IDB Invest’s Administration and SLA Management function, supporting activities related to SLA performance management, metrics and KPI monitoring, process improvement, and the operational execution of corporate support services under the SLA framework. Depending on business needs and the selected profile, the consultant may focus more heavily on either performance management and continuous improvement activities, or on the coordination and execution of corporate services workstreams.
You will work in the Controllership Division (CTR), part of the Finance and Administration Department. CTR oversees accounting and financial reporting, financial planning and budget, valuations, and administration and SLA management. It develops and implements high-quality controllership standards and sound policies that ensure IDB Invest’s financial integrity, discipline, and long-term sustainability. CTR is also responsible for strengthening the governance, responsiveness, and accountability of the SLA framework and fostering coordination & synergies between IDB Invest and the IDB.
What you’ll do
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of IDB Invest’s Administration and SLA Management function, with a focus on service delivery, performance monitoring, metrics, and process improvement.
- Coordinate corporate support services under the SLA framework, ensuring timely execution, effective follow-up, responsiveness, and service continuity across stakeholders.
- Support the design and monitoring of SLA performance mechanisms, including KPIs, dashboards, service metrics, issue tracking, escalation paths, and management reporting.
- Monitor SLA operational performance, including service quality, timelines, costs, volumes, backlogs, risks, and related operational indicators; identify issues, trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, and coordinate follow-up actions as needed.
- Contribute to the implementation and refinement of SLA workflows, tools, reporting processes, operational guidelines, and accountability practices.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder follow-ups by preparing materials, consolidating inputs, documenting discussions, tracking agreed actions, and supporting timely execution.
- Collaborate closely with IDB Invest and IDB counterparts to promote coordination, operational alignment, service responsiveness, and continuous improvement across administration and SLA-related functions.
What you'll need
• Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, law, finance, systems information, project management, or a related field required.
• Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in service management, project management, corporate support services, operations, performance monitoring, process improvement, or related fields, preferably within financial, multilateral, or international organizations. The candidate should be able to coordinate operational workstreams, analyze data, support service delivery monitoring, and communicate clearly through technical or operational outputs. Experience with KPIs, dashboards, reporting, or corporate services coordination will be valued.
• Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required

Type of contract and duration
• International consultant: International consultant Full-Time, 24 months (up to 48 months, if applicable).
