About this position

We are looking for a Relationship Models and Salesforce Officer / Senior Officer that will work in Marketing & Business Communications Team part of Business, Planning & Resources, reporting to the Head and Director of Marketing & Business Communications. This team plays a strategic role in enhancing IDB Invest’s positioning and supporting business development by leveraging data, technology, and market insights.

Your role will contribute to:

  • Driving CRM adoption and operational efficiency by leading the efforts and contributions from the business area to continuously improve our Salesforce platform, automating workflows, incorporating key interaction points with private sector counterparts and ensuring seamless integration with business processes.
  • Enhancing scalability of our business-relationship management model and tools, support data-driven decision-making by optimizing CRM and analytics tools to improve decision-making, commercial intelligence, and the identification and management of key clients, partners, and projects.
  • Shaping, implementing and maintaining the model and tools to strengthen engagement with private sector clients and partners by ensuring that CRM and digital tools support relationship management, outreach strategies, and IDB Invest’s positioning as a leader in sustainable finance in LAC.

What you’ll do

As the Relationship Models and Salesforce Officer / Senior Officer, you will oversee the strategic development and hands-on execution of our CRM platform and related digital solutions to drive business growth. By bridging the gap between business objectives and technology capabilities, you will ensure effective collaboration, seamless implementation, and a user-centric approach that delivers tangible results.

 

IT tools to support a scalable and systematic Client Relationship Management Process 

  • Collaborate closely with IT teams and external vendors during development sprints, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
  • Gather and translate business needs into clear technical requirements, ensuring solutions align with IDB Invest’s business priorities.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate functionality, identify potential issues, and refine product features before launch.

CRM & Growth Enablement

  • Optimize the CRM platform as a central resource for business processes, client engagement, and operational tracking.
  • Lead the contributions from the business to continuously improve our Salesforce platform, ensuring data integrity, user adoption, and alignment with IDB Invest’s technological ecosystem.
  • Implement enhancements (e.g., automation, data analytics) that streamline workflows and support business development efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Adoption

  • Coordinate with diverse internal stakeholders (e.g., Regions, Industries, Product…) to align on objectives, deliver updates, and address challenges promptly.
  • Provide training and support to encourage effective use of digital tools, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Leverage insights from CRM and other analytics tools to identify areas of opportunity and inform decision-making in collaboration with Business Intelligence peers.
  • Propose and implement iterative enhancements, fostering a culture of ongoing innovation and user-centric design.

What you'll need

•    Education: Business Administration, Marketing with a focus on CRM, Data Analytics, Information Systems Management, among others.  

•    Experience: You have at least 5 years of experience for the Officer role and 7 years of experience for the SR Officer role:

  • CRM implementation and optimization with Salesforce, including user Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Quality Assurance, Process Automation & Workflow Optimization, among others.
  • Bridging business and technology teams to execute digital solutions.
  • Data analysis and leveraging digital tools to enhance business processes (internally and externally).
  • Business teams & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Working in B2B or financial environments, preferably in development finance institutions, banking, or financial services.

•    Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Requirements

•    Citizenship: No requirements

•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

 International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
