About this position

The Technology Delivery Services (TDS) Division within the Technology and Transformation Department(TTD) is seeking an IT professional to provide local IT support to executives at the Office of the Presidency,  located  at Headquarters.

What you’ll do

  1. Analysis and Support: Provide on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems or needs for IDB Group executive leadership and VIP personnel at Headquarters, including IT software and assigned equipment (computers & mobile devices).
  2. End-User Assistance: Support executive leadership and VIP users, ensuring maximum effectiveness of IT tools (hardware, software, connectivity, training, etc.) at Headquarters. This includes conducting preventative maintenance for conference equipment and supporting end users in conference rooms.
  3. Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, including workstations, servers, videoconferencing, telecommunications, and local providers.
  4. Customer Service: Respond promptly to incoming calls, emails, and IT service needs from IDBG executive leadership and VIP users.
  5. Technical Setup: Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user hardware, peripheral devices, mobile devices, software, and other products to ensure required desktop service levels.
  6. Project Support: Collaborate with other departments during construction projects to move, install, and test equipment, ensuring system functionality.
  7. Liaison: Act as a liaison between IT team members and third-party support, thus ensuring the organization's end-user computing environment is secure and has an efficient operation.
  8. Documentation: Ensure that operational documentation is current and registered correctly in tickets, reports, etc., as required.

What you'll need

•    Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. 

•    Experience: At least two years of experience in the IT field. Proven experience providing IT local Support to VIP personnel. 

The ideal candidate will possess: Working knowledge in MS Windows 11, MS O365, Teams Rooms, communication platforms, mobile devices (Android/iOS), MS Active Directory, VMWare/VDI, and workstation maintenance. Working knowledge of ITIL incidents, service requests, and knowledge management processes.  ITIL certification is a plus. Proficiency in AI and generative AI technologies, along with their potential applications. General knowledge of servers, network telecommunication, audiovisual equipment, and office assets (scanners, printers, copiers). Extensive understanding of ethical considerations and responsible use of AI.

•    Languages: Proficiency in English and Portuguese, is required. Additional knowledge of  Spanish is preferable.

•    Citizenship:You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.

•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

International consultant Full-Time, 12 months (up to 36 months).
