About this position
We are looking for a trilingual, proactive and results‑oriented Knowledge, Engagement and Dissemination Consultant to provide operational and strategic support to the Amazon Coordination Unit (ACU) in the areas of knowledge management, engagement, and impact dissemination for the Amazon Regional Program’s Amazonia Forever. The role involves coordinating cross‑cutting activities to strengthen knowledge management, stakeholder engagement, and impact dissemination. Responsibilities include ensuring program visibility and alignment, supporting institutional priorities, and collaborating with leadership, communications teams, and internal/external counterparts to deliver strategic initiatives, materials, and events.
The Amazon Coordination Unit (ACU) is part of the Southern Cone Department (CSC) and works closely with specialists and management throughout the IDB, as well as with Country Offices in Amazonian countries.
What you’ll do
- Support the planning and coordination of knowledge management, engagement, and dissemination activities related to the Amazonia Forever program.
- Coordinate the systematization of lessons learned, best practices, and operational knowledge generated across countries, thematic areas, and funding sources.
- Support the preparation, organization, and dissemination of knowledge and program materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment of knowledge, engagement, and dissemination activities with institutional priorities and timelines.
- Support the execution of engagement and visibility initiatives involving donors, partners, and networks.
- Contribute to the planning and coordination of events, meetings, and strategic initiatives related to the program.
- Support the preparation, editing, and organization of communication and dissemination materials to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Assist in coordinating internal alignment activities within the IDB Group, including collaboration with communications teams.
- Provide operational support to program leadership in monitoring the implementation of planned activities related to knowledge, engagement, and dissemination.
What you'll need
- Education: Master’s degree in communications, social sciences, international development, journalism, public relations, marketing or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in multilateral organizations or matrixed, international organizations in communications and knowledge management. Press management, media relations, event supervision and design skillset. Excellent copy writing, editing, and translation skills for digital use.
- Languages: Proficiency in English, Spanish and Portuguese spoken and written, is required.
Requirements

Type of contract and duration
International consultant Full-Time, 19 months (up to 48 months, subject to eligibility).
