About this position
The Team’s Mission: Within the Legal Department, the Legal Resource Center (LRC) coordinates the department's records, provides research services, develops communication materials, manages event logistics, and supports process improvements. The Corporate Legal Affairs (LEG/CLA) section provides legal advice on all institutional and financial matters for the IDB, including governance, financial management, institutional integrity and administration of human resources.
What you’ll do
Support the Legal Resource Center/Corporate Legal Affairs Unit as needed, with particular attention to the following:
- Administrative support to all personnel in the respective division.
- Store, reformat, complete metadata and general maintenance of various records collections using SharePoint.
- Publish records in compliance with the Bank’s Access to Information Policy.
- Support Legal Department clients with various inquiries.
- Locate historic records (digital and print) to complete various collections, including appropriate metadata.
- Monitor the distribution and approval of institutional documents.
- Produce periodic communications, including newsletters, online publications, and other department announcements.
- Assist in data gathering, running reports, and creating simple data visualizations
What you'll need
- Education: Technical Studies or associate’s degree. Experience with records management would be a plus.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience. Experience in a law office or legal department, and/or experience with managing complex and/or confidential information.
- Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and at least one other of the Bank’s official languages (English, French or Portuguese) is required. Proficiency in more than two official languages is desirable.

- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
• Staff: International: International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
