About this position

The IDB, through its Connectivity, Markets and Finance Division, works to strengthen the capacity of the public financial sector to mobilize resources and catalyze capital for development. We focus on effective capital market development and innovative financial structuring and solutions to facilitate private investment and ensure inclusive and sustainable development.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and process-driven professional to join our operations team in support of the end-to-end processing of operations. As a Project Processing Consultant, you as Project Processing Consultant. In this role, you will support the end-to-end processing of operations by ensuring compliance with internal procedures, supporting the timely execution of project milestones, and facilitating efficient coordination and follow up across stakeholders.

What you’ll do

  • Support the processing of loans, technical cooperations and project completion reports, working collaboratively with the manager’s office, diverse team leaders and internal stakeholders.
  • Propose, build and monitor preparation of calendars ensuring the project teams understand and achieve the relevant milestones for instrument approval.
  • Review operational documentation, to ensure editorial quality of final product and accurate application of relevant guidelines and procedures.
  • Collect, register and maintain project related correspondence and documentation in accordance with established procedures and policies.
  • Maintain internal systems with up-to-date information regarding the status of assigned operations.
  • Contribute to the review and improvement of internal processes to increase operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of operational reports and briefings as needed.

What you'll need

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, International Relations, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Type of contract and duration

  • Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
  • Length of contract: 12 months.
  • Work Location: On site.
