About this position

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and detail-oriented Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) Coordination Consultant. As a PPP Coordination consultant, you will advise in the execution of technical cooperations, fee-for-service agreements, and other Bank instruments, as well as in the monitoring of procurement processes for consulting firms and individual consultants, disbursement and payment management.

You will work in the PPP Unit, which is part of the Infrastructure and Energy Department. This team is responsible for supporting the Bank’s borrowing countries in the implementation of PPP projects through the development and strengthening of regulatory frameworks and institutional capacity for PPPs; the support in the identification, assessment, and preparation of infrastructure projects to be implemented via PPPs; and the generation, systematization, and dissemination of knowledge and best practices related to PPPs in infrastructure.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate the procurement processes for consultancies within the Unit by supporting contract management (firms and human resources) and payments, reviewing Terms of Reference and related documents for new hires, in accordance with Bank policies, and handling vendor user accounts in internal systems.
  • Process disbursements for PPP Unit operations, including technical cooperations executed by the Bank, fee-for-service agreements, loans, and guarantees.
  • Collect and organize all supporting documentation related to costs and expenses, and maintain updated electronic files in the bank's EZ-Share system for transactions executed under each Unit operation.
  • Prepare management reports on operational information for the team, and advise in document editing and presentation preparation.
  • Perform professional level analysis on documentation related to all phases of projects/activities (with a focus on execution); conducting research and background analysis as needed.
  • Contribute in the planning and logistics of a wide variety of events, including conferences (virtual and in-person, in Washington D.C. and/or abroad), workshops, seminars, internal team meetings, and other knowledge-sharing events.
  • Develop and maintain updated manuals for the Unit’s most frequent processes and other assignments.

What you'll need

  • Education: Master degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in vendor accounts, procurement processess, technical cooperations, costs and expenses.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Type of contract and duration

  • International consultant Full-Time, 12 months (up to 36 months).
