About this position
We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and detail-oriented Public-Private Partnership (PPP) consultant to support the development of operational services within the PPP Unit. As a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Operations consultant, you will assist in the preparation, execution, monitoring, and reporting of technical cooperations, fee-for-service agreements, loans, guarantees, and other operations.
You will work in the PPP Unit, which is part of the Infrastructure and Energy Department. This team is responsible for supporting the Bank’s borrowing countries in the implementation of PPP projects through the development and strengthening of regulatory frameworks and institutional capacity for PPPs; support in the identification, assessment, and preparation of infrastructure projects to be implemented via PPPs; and the generation, systematization, and dissemination of knowledge and best practices related to PPPs in infrastructure.
What you’ll do
- Support the Head of the PPP Unit in preparing and reviewing reports, presentations, and talking points. You will also assist in tracking the execution of technical assistance activities linked to operations, organizing and storing all supporting documentation, and maintaining technical assistance databases.
- Be responsible for keeping electronic files up to date in the bank's EZ-Share system, covering all phases of each operation — preparation, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Coordinate information requests with various areas of the Bank, especially within the Infrastructure and Energy Department, and updating operational information management reports for the team.
- Aid in preparing documentation related to all phases of projects and activities (with a focus on preparation, execution, monitoring, and reporting), conducting research, consulting with other departments, and performing background analysis as needed.
- Assist in the planning and logistics of a wide range of events, including conferences (virtual and in-person, in Washington D.C. and/or abroad), workshops, seminars, internal team meetings, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Draft memorandums and other basic communications, supporting knowledge generation and dissemination tasks, and performing other ad hoc assignments as required.
What you'll need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in the preparation, execution, monitoring, and reporting of technical cooperations and fee-for-service agreements, loans, or guarantees.
- Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Type of contract and duration
- International consultant Full-Time, 12 months (up to 36 months).
