About this position

The Knowledge & Learning Department (KLD) is responsible for a broad agenda related to the acquisition, creation, exchange, dissemination, and application of knowledge, both within the organization and throughout the LAC Region. KLD is exploring ways to add value to the data we have collected throughout the years and is introducing the next level of reporting. As part of this effort, we are looking for a person capable of prototyping, exploring and analyzing the data, identifying patterns, and coming up with clever ways to present this data to the public. We are looking for a Reporting and Data Science Consultant. As Reporting and Data Science Consultant you will act as a technical liaison for KIC data processing, report and dashboard generation, coordinating with the Enterprise Data Warehouse archival and facilitating the dialog of IT technical and non-technical teams for gathering business needs. 

KLD’s Information Services Unit (ISU) part of The Knowledge & Learning (KLD) department. This team is responsible for conducting data collection and analysis to improve knowledge, innovation, and communication products.

What you’ll do

 

  • Gather reports and dashboard requirements from power users (administrators).
  • Elaborate reports and dashboards with a user-centric design perspective, to advise KIC system administrators and teams.
  • Extract data from current automated reports and raw data from base systems using tools like Tableau, Power BI, R or Python.
  • Design workflows for Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) processes. Source systems include Hyperion, SAP SuccessFactors, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, EdX, Moodle, Brand watch, etc.
  • Coordinate data and information interoperability with the IT department for ETL processing.
  • Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
  • Collaborate with data governance efforts.
  • Identify data errors and patterns and perform data analytics with different purposes, such as, but not limited to forecast analysis, data cleansing, generate methods for automatically detecting and guarantee data integrity to ensure accuracy, completeness and uniformity.
  • Generate technical documentation related to data processing and other activities under responsibility.
  • Provide advice on process improvement, as well as other activities as agreed with the supervisor.

What you'll need

  

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. Candidates with other academic backgrounds who have significant experience in data analytics or data science will also be considered.
  • Experience: a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

  • Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
