About this position

We are looking for a motivated professional to work in the Office of the Manager of the Budget and Administration Department (BDA). Reporting to the General Manager, the primary role of the Resource Planner and Administrator is to coordinate and support a wide array of departmental activities, including Human Resources, Budget, and the interactions of the General Manager with Senior Management and the Board of Executive Directors.

What you’ll do

  • Provide guidance and support to BDA personnel on human resources, budget management, and compliance with Bank policies.
  • Manage the agenda and meeting schedule of the General Manager.
  • Provide support in the preparation and review of documents to be submitted to Management or Board Committees. Coordinate schedules and deadlines to ensure compliance.
  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support the Department’s training plan by identifying needs, developing programs, and providing necessary resources for professional development.
  • Streamline administrative processes to foster a productive work environment.
  • Foster engagement through departmental activities to strengthen collaboration and team cohesion.
  • Support the department’s budget formulation and execution, advising on adjustments to optimize resources and align departmental goals with the Bank’s Institutional strategy.

Support the review and update policies and procedures to ensure relevance, compliance, and efficiency.

What you'll need

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Business Administration or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.

Experience: At least 2 years of progressive relevant experience.

Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

If international, Headquarters (Washington, D.C), whereas if national 100% remotely from place of residence of selected candidate and services are expected to be provided from a country where the IDB Group has offices.
