About this position
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative professional with strong finance background and strong FX products knowledge and experience, who will have a senior role within the Treasury Client Solutions Group (TRY/TCS) with primarily focus on the development and management of FX products for IDB sovereign guarantee clients.
What you’ll do
Manage the FX risk across liquid and illiquid currencies to be taken by the IDB in order to provide cheaper and more efficient local currency solutions to our sovereign guaranteed clients to mitigate the effects of FX volatility in their fiscal budgets.
Being able to timely fund the Local Treasuries in the region (via offshore swaps or onshore bonds) at the best market levels, to benefit our clients looking for local currency denominated loans.
Develop a network of local investors, in those countries where we have Local Treasuries, as potential buyers for onshore IDB issuances.
Participate in the generation of news ideas for our clients that involve taking FX risk for the IDB and work in close partnership with our current structurer within the team and the support teams (Legal, Risk, Accounting, Middle and Back office) in the approval process.
Work in close coordination with Investment team for the management of excess cash onshore in Local Treasuries.
What you'll need
• Education: Master degree in Administration or equivalent advanced degree in Finance) or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
• Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in administration and/or Finance
• Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
• International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
